3 steps to apply for the PMP Certification:

  1. Confirm you are eligible (refer to PMP Exam requirements)
  2. Gather your info for example; project you have led and training you have completed. 
  3. Submit your PMP Application. 

You can take your PMP exam at a Person Vue Testing Center (recommended) or securely online. 

You may attempt the exam up to three (3) times in one year if you don’t pass the exam. 

The PMP exam is based on the current version of the PMBOK. The domain include:

The PMP examination is comprise of 180 multiple choice answers, and allotted examintaion time is 230 minutes. 

For PMP Exam, there are now two 10-minutes breaks in the exam. The first will appear after you complete questions 1- 60 and review all of your answers. The second break will appear after you have completed question 120 and confirmed that you have reviewed all of your answers.

Please note, once you review your responses and start your break you will not be able to return to the questions from the previous section of the exam. When you are signed back in after each break, you will have the remaining allotted time to complete the remaining section(s). In total, you will have 230 minutes to respond to 180 questions.

If you do not pass your first exam attempt, you can continue your study and retake the exam. You may take the examination up to three times within your one-year eligibility period. After three attempts, you must wait one year from the date of the last examination before you reapply for the certification.

If your one year eligibility period expires without you passing the examination, you must reapply for the certification.

No, you cannot take the PMP exam without the required project management training. PMI mandates that candidates must complete 35 hours of formal project management training before they are eligible to sit for the PMP exam. This requirement applies regardless of your educational or professional background.
